Woman, religion, culture, daily news and her personal life inspire her work. Stating social commentaries and stories that she shares through her hands. She states: “My hands are my microphones. They allow me to speak in many languages such as photography, installation, performance and video, languages that communicate to everyone”.  With a growing passion of collaging techniques and assembling different forms to create a whole Hind identifies herself as a “master of science in the arts” a discoverer and a creator. It’s an exploration of social and interpersonal issues that are pertinent to Hind personally, as well as to the wider society. In this work she is dealing with the impact that technological advances have had on our social communication – allowing each person to be interacting with their wider social network whilst isolated within their immediate social environment. This participatory installation displayed at Emirati Expression is the second edition from the original piece that took place in 2011 at Al Bastakya House 44. With a reformed level of participation and execution of the original piece.

Hinds’ video design was presented at the Walt Disney Modular Theater at CalArts 2014, for an original immersive multimedia performance installation co-written by John Johnson and Allison Keating, Directed by Allison Keating. The show is inspired by America’s 2012 drought, Hurricane Sandy and Hansel & Gretel by the Brothers Grimm.
